Type 2 Diabetes is a major
health problem in developed countries. It is directly linked to
obesity,
especially by the type of fat that stores itself around the
midsection of a body; basically they weigh more than their healthy
weight range. The fat clogs up the bodies' cells' ability to absorb
sufficient nutritional energy in the form of gluten from the digestion of food
after eating.
High Fructose Corn Syrup is inert. In and of itself it is empty calories without any nutritional value at all. It is considered a high quality food preservative; deemed "Safe" by the FDA. it's sometimes actually used as a weight gain supplement by some Doctors. It is directly utilized by feed lots as a fast weight gain tool not only for cattle but shrimp, fowl, pork, etc. It is cheap and used to supplement any number of foods containing ingredients that sell better when sweetened to varying degrees. So called "Diet" soda and many other
sugar free and other beverages are
sweetened almost exclusively with High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS). It is also used
to "flesh out" the sweetening characteristics of sweet foods such as
honey or canned fruits in syrup; that is because HFCS is much cheaper than honey, sugar and other food
sweeteners by
themselves. |
High Fructose Corn Syrup
has one major drawback in common with its derivative, malto dextrose
an inert food preservative; they do not satisfy the bodies'
internal hunger mechanisms. As a result, just like feed lot cattle
which can only be force fed corn products for about nine months to
fatten them up for slaughter before they die of malnourishment; High
Fructose Corn Syrup, Corn Syrup and Malto Dextrin contribute to one's
penchant for overeating until their fat destroys their health by
becoming overweight. The head of the U.S. Land Bank set a mandate about 30 years ago to subsidize corn so that "No American will go hungry." Even with the advent of bio-alcohol for gasoline, the subsidies continue to keep the price of corn far below what they would cost otherwise, in spite of the added pressure for more and ever more domestic bio-fuel. As such, virtually all captive fed livestock including cows (who are grass eaters, not grain eaters by their nature), pigs, chickens, turkeys, catfish, shrimp, salmon, etc., are fattened for market with corn feed before being harvested... Thus, captive fed livestock pass their inert fat up the food chain to their human consumers. For more information about Type 2 Diabetes go to:

| .Coca Cola tops the HFCS Rogues Gallery as the highest High Fructose Corn Syrup content per liter of carbonated beverage of all time used to mask the third most prolific ingredient in this five ingredient beverage (Water, HFCS, Salt, Ascorbic Acid and Soda.) The purpose of the HFCS, of course is to mask how incredibly salty the drink is such that one is thirsty within moments after ingesting it and thus increase sales and profits for Coca Cola Bottling Co. | |
