Sensible Heat by definition is the temperature, measured by the sense of touch or
by sensing  instruments such as the
calorimeter, Fahrenheit, Celsius or other
sensing method at a given moment in time of the thermodynamic status of mater.
.
Sensible heat is potential energy in the form of thermal energy or heat. The
magnitude of sensible heat is the product of the body's mass, its specific heat
capacity and its temperature above a reference temperature. In many cases the
reference temperature is inferred from common knowledge, i.e. "room temperature".
The Celsius scale uses zero as a start point in reference to the freezing temperature of
water and uses 212 degrees (water's boiling point) as 100 on that same scale which
are coincidentally
latent heat change of state temperature points of pure water at
sea level, as well.
.
Sensible heat temperatures are useful reference numbers when estimating potential
comfort, or calculating for energy expenditures or costs.
