Our Environmental Pledge to you

Green Metroplex Service and Sales practices safe and sane battery recycling for the
protection of the environment, as a public service.

Every part, wire and battery and even the dirt on a used or worn out E-trike is recycled, especially
battery materials like cadmium, lithium, lead or acid which are never sent to a solid waste landfill.

What we ask of you:

We encourage you to only and always charge your E-trike or other electric battery powered
devices or vehicles
ONLY AT NIGHT, when that practice will actually decrease your Carbon Footprint.
We also encourage you to get and
use recycling waste containers at home and at work.

Wiring for wind - Exxon Mobile laughing up its Silk shirted sleeve (paid for by multi-million dollar
"wind-fall" profits) as the Wind Turbine electric prices drop in the windy cap-rock, oil country of
West Texas? Likely.

With the
Texas PUC study stating that transmission line construction lagging at least 5 years
behind each increase in wind turbine capacity; it means that both Exxon Mobile and Valero Oil
Company will reap even more billions in profits from the drop in electric energy to pump their
formerly too deep (and expensive) to pump oil out of the capped (reserve) wells of that area.
(What is not stated is that the transmission line losses over vast distances will make renewable
wind turbine electricity the most costly type of electricity on the grid and may be why
transmission utilities are reluctant to build them. <ed>).

Texas has more wind power than any other state, with around 6,903 megawatts. Power plant
developers have proposed new windmills to boost that number to a massive 46,623 megawatts.
For the record:
Texas is ranked 3rd in the world as a producer of renewable wind energy, at this
writing.

However, the state doesn't have enough transmission capacity to move that much juice from
rural West Texas to crowded North Texas or other populous areas of the state.

Already the lack of long-distance transmission capability is causing power prices in West Texas to
drop compared with the rest of the state, thanks to the big supply of wind power, says power
company Energy Future Holdings (Oncor/TXU). (Sources: Dallas Morning News/Business and
New York Times/Financial.). 4/3/2008

Not all attitude responses to Wind Energy are warm and fuzzy.
Not all attitude responses to Wind Energy are warm and fuzzy.
In Lowville, NY an individual in the citizen task group appended to their city council, which was
involved in negotiating their Wind Turbine Utility deal who said it was, "The most demanding
experience of my life."

One school superintendent said: "I'm an educator, not a wind expert or an investor." The
hardest part, was under- standing the amounts of money involved, trusting that the community
would get it, and "the great unknown, which is how much the wind company is making."

<Wind Farm Investors expect full payoff costs for wind generators to be in the neighborhood
of 4 years; while this does not state the cost/profit ratio, it is strongly indicative that the profits
from this free source of energy are enormous and are leveraged by subsidized tax breaks by
state controlled Public Utility Commissions..

Coal plants expect break even in 8-12 years, depending on how green they are designed to
be; with quick, cheap and dirty being the most favored. Nuclear in 21 years due to the safety
factors built into power plant construction and operation and the cost of nuclear fuel and
spent fuel disposal (After about four years, no nuclear plant ever stops paying to have its
spent fuel stored safely).

Break even for current
solar cell energy harvesting, connected to the net grid is around 8
years. The new multi-junction solar cell technology once in the marketplace in 2009 estimates
a four to six year break even, due to the recovery of initial manufacturing plant construction
costs and licensing of this new material, as well. That payback window will grow smaller as
more manufacturing plants are built and economies of scale and competition for market share
begin to be a factor.  (Opinion: In 2009 this industry has a good chance of being the next
great Tech Bubble.). Ed.>
